who?.....me??

My art background? Well I can tell you that it does not stem from any formal education or come from an art degree. As far back as I can remember I was doodling on papers in school when I probably should have been paying more attention to class.  When I was young, my favorite times were always when I was allowed to be creative with something. Or even NOT allowed and just doing it anyways like drawing all over a new pair of jeans or painting something I shouldn't have...sorry Mom! Point is, It didn't really matter what it was, just as long as I could try and make something cool. As I got older this never really changed. Whether it be sketching out tattoo ideas, painting on skateboards or other random pieces of wood or taking things a bit more serious and spending time on a portrait or painting...creating artwork has always been a hobby of mine.  Art has often inspired me in some way or another throughout my life and continues to bring me a level of joy when creating it...or even just looking at it!         

I love ALL types, however, I've found that I'm most comfortable using graphite, colored pencil, Ink and different paints as they usually bring me the most enjoyment, along with digital art on the iPad now that todays technology is so cool. Each idea manifests in its own individual way and sometimes that's mixing mediums and not being to "by the book" or traditional, as I'm not really sure how to do that anyway! 

Inspiration can strike me at the weirdest times. I love looking at all types of artwork and trying to breakdown how the artist accomplished what they did and then twisting my brain around how I might go about it. I really enjoy trying to recreate certain images or photographs to see where I can make them my own and I've found the possibilities with that are endless. I try to get inspiration where I can and continue to improve upon my abilities so hopefully one day I can think my artwork is as cool as I think everyone else's is!
